Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy
Counselling and Psychotherapy are terms that are often used interchangeably. Counselling aims to help people resolve current issues that may be causing emotional unease. Psychotherapy is typically a more in-depth, long-term process that focuses on a person’s past experiences and how they are feeling. Ultimately, both are talking therapies that involve exploring thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a private, confidential environment.
As a registered member of the BACP, you can be assured that I am trained to the minimum standard that allows me to practice as a therapist. I regularly undertake further CPD and training to enhance my work and broaden my knowledge and skills. I follow the BACP's framework for ethical practice which underpins the work that I undertake with clients.
If you are considering undertaking counselling or psychotherapy, you can email in the first instance or fill out the contact form. Once I have received your enquiry, I will make contact with you as soon as I am able, whereupon we can arrange a 15 - 20 minute consultation. This gives the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of your needs and what you are looking to get out of therapy. This also gives you the chance to ask me any questions you may have. If we both agree to proceed with therapy, then we can book your first appointment and I will send you a copy of my contract and other relevant information.
Sessions can be provided both face-to-face and online.
